
Corey is a lawyer and policy expert with experience on a range of issues, including gun violence prevention, democracy and legal reform, and the economy. He has worked at the local, state, and federal levels helping clients and elected leaders develop executive action proposals, challenge unlawful government actions, and design legal advocacy campaigns to advance progressive policy.
Prior to joining Evergreen Legal, Corey helped found Democracy Forward, a legal nonprofit that defends against harmful and dangerous executive branch policies. He has also served as senior policy advisor to then-Senator Kamala Harris and as a policy advisor to Secretary Hillary Clinton and Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Corey started his career on then-Senator Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign.
Corey earned his law degree from New York University Law School and lives in Washington, DC, with his wife Lily and son Teddy.
