
Karianne is a litigator and legal strategist, with expertise in administrative and political law. She has represented clients in courts across the country and advised on a wide variety of legal matters: from litigation strategy, to legal communications, to matters of local, state, and national policy, to issues of in-house legal compliance.
Prior to joining Evergreen Legal, Karianne worked on the Biden and Harris campaigns, where she managed all litigation impacting the campaign, the candidates, or the Democratic National Committee during the 2024 election cycle. She also worked at the White House Office of Management and Budget, advising on the federal regulatory process, federal grantmaking, and government-to-government Tribal issues. In 2017, Karianne left private practice to join Democracy Forward to sue the Trump administration for unlawful executive branch action.
Karianne earned her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. Karianne clerked for the Honorable Duane Benton on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
